African Development Bank has granted approval for $49.92 million to be utilized in the establishment of a 30 MW solar photovoltaic power plant located in Eritrea.
This initiative involves the creation of a 30 MW grid-tied solar photovoltaic power plant, which will be equipped with a 15 MW/30 MWh battery energy storage system, a 33/66 kV substation, and a 66 kV transmission line. The project will be implemented in Dekemhare and will be linked to the existing transmission line connecting East Asmara and Dekemhare, which is situated approximately 1 km away from the project location.
